The Holiday Hotel Praiano is extremely well located along the Amalfi
Coast. Whether you're arriving into Napoli or Salerno by train,
ferry or by car, there are numerous simple options available to
you. The beautiful town of Praiano is located halfway between Amalfi
and Positano.
If you're travelling to Praiano by car from Rome then it's best
to take the "A1" in the southern direction following the
signs to Napoli. Once you've passed Napoli, take the motorway "A3"
to "Napoli-Salerno". Look out for the exit "Castellamare
di Stabia" and make sure to follow the road sign to Sorrento.
Once you've reached "Meta di Sorrento", take the road
signposted to Positano, and after 4 km, you'll be at Praiano. Should
you be arriving by car and travelling from the south, it's best
to take the motorway "Reggio Calabria - Salerno." Look
out for "Exit: Vietri Sul Mare" and follow the road along
until "Costiera Amalfitana SS.163" towards Amalfi. After
7 km you'll arrive at Praiano.
Many visitors choose to arrive by train and will have the choice
of Napoli or Salerno. From Napoli there is the option of taking
the local train called "Circumvesuviana" which goes as
far as Sorrento. From there it's easy to then catch the "SITA"
bus to Praiano. Alternatively, if your train arrives in Salerno,
you can take the "SITA" bus to Amalfi and then another
to Praiano. These journeys are truly breathtaking and you'll no
doubt marvel at the skills of the bus-drivers negotiating the narrow
roads, as well as the views.
If you've arrived by 'plane into the Napoli airport of "Capodichino",
there are a numerous options open to you. If renting a car, follow
the same route as described earlier. If you opt to use public transport,
it's possible to take the local "Curi" bus to Sorrento.
Once there, change buses and choose the "SITA" bus which
will take you all the way to Praiano. Alternatively, if you write
to us in advance, we're more than happy to arrange a transfer from
the airport by taxi. Thankfully the Holiday Hotel Praiano is easily
reached. To make this as straightforward as possible we've also
included a map for your convenience:
